Etymology:

Distribution: Southern Ecuador

Sectional Placement: section Pachyneurium series Multinervia

Description:

Notes: A. fasciale is in section Pachyneurium and has been further placed into series Multinervia. The series was created by T. Croat in his A Revision of Anthurium Section Pachyneurium to accommodate a closely related group of Pachys that had more numerous veination and differed in berry color. These species occur mostly in Ecuador, Columbia, and Peru and, in general, occupy much wetter habitats than members of series Pachyneurium.
