IAS Newsletter Preferences

Please complete this form to register for online delivery of your IAS newsletter through e-mail and/or comment on the availability of an electronic version of the newsletter.

This will not effect the delivery of your copy of the annual Aroideana, and no decisions have yet been made regarding stopping paper delivery of the newsletter. Your opinions delivered through this form will help us to make a decision at some point in the future on whether to go all-electronic with the newsletter.

The newsletter is costing the society over $4000 per year to publish, at a time when society dues do not even cover the cost of publishing Aroideana, let alone a newsletter and a website. Only some of this deficit is made up by fundraising events such as the annual show and sale, and as a result we have been steadily eating into our savings for the past few years with no relief in sight.

Moving to an electronic newsletter has the potential to put us back into the black, and allow us to do more and longer articles with color pictures. Conversely, if you feel a paper newsletter is preferable for any reason, it's important to note that membership rates will likely need to be increased accordingly.

Your input here, in addition to signing you up to get the newsletter delivered by e-mail, will help us decide whether to go all electronic with the newsletter. Pending further discussions by the board, you will continue to receive the paper version in the mail.
