ABSTRACT:

Recently Timothy Plowman of Harvard University and Helen Kennedy of the Field Museum discovered Philodendron frits-wentii in the wild in Peru, and sent cuttings to the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens where it is now cultivated. The exact locality, in the Dept. of San Martin, is about 500 km from the nearest known station for P. grazielae.
