I would also like to add Stowe Botanical Gardens which is in Belmont NC. They just built a multi million dollar Orchid Conservatory, While I can't say much for it yet I hope in the future it will be something to see. It's not a collectors Conservatory since most of the Orchids are hybrids and easily obtained most anywhere. They do have nice displays but they really don't try to replicate natural habitat but go more for mass plantings and architectural design. Curiously, they have no pictures of it that I can find on their web site but an outdoor shot.

Here is my album of pictures when I visited soon after their opening in February.

Hi, I just visited McKee Botanical Gardens at Vero Beach Florida. Very nice place that I would recommend.

Hi Listers,

Firstly apologies for being slightly off-topic for a couple lists!

A little while ago I wrote asking for links about sustainability and top
rate Botanic and other Gardens to visit. Thanks to all those who sent
through their suggestions - I've finally managed to collate the suggestions
and turn it into a readable list. You can download it here:

Gardens and links
page<http://www.drivehq.com/folder/p4480453/1212639321.aspx>

If that doesn't work, email me offlist (drplantman@gmail.com) and I'll
send
you a copy pronto! I'd love to expand the sustainable links page so if you
have other resources or suggestions please feel free to send them through
and I'll update the file.

Many thanks again,

Jeremy
