  natural variegation
From: alistair_hay at rbgsyd.gov.au on 1999.01.21 at 00:40:45(2933)
Is anyone aware of any recent reviews or specific studies of the
ecological significance of naturally occurring variegation (e.g. in
Schismatoglottis, Aglaonema etc. and many non-aroid forest understorey
plants).

Dr. Hay,
The only person I know that is doing anything related to variegation is Dr.
David Lee of Florida International University. He has been working on the
coloration of Calatheas and related plants. This might be a clue...

I do not have his email address but if this interests you, I think I can
get it...
