Alocasia 'White Knight' is a hybrid resulting from a cross between A. sanderiana
and an unnamed Alocasia species that may have some affinity to A. zebrina. This
attractive hybrid was developed by Jim Georgisus in 1993 during his stay in Hilo,
Hawaii. Jim is a very talented plant breeder with numerous commercial aroid
cultivars to his credit, including Anthurium 'Lady Jane' and it's many hybrids,
as well as Spathiphyllum 'Sensation'.
