  Anubias hastifolia spathe
From: dbiggs at xantusidesign.net on 2010.09.23 at 16:08:29(21498)
Hi All,

A couple of weeks ago my Anubias hastifolia sent up a couple of spathes. I
was pretty tickled to see them. Here are a few quick pictures.

I was surprised to find that the spathes had a pretty strong sweet floral
aroma. They were about 1.75" (4.4cm) in length. I have been groing the
plant in a 56 gallon planted riparium.

Cheers,

Devin

Hi Devin,

As I can see from your photo, thecae at this inflorescence are located on
side of synandrium. It contradicts the description of Anubias hastifolia
in revision of genus Anubias (W. Crusio).

I assume that this plant is a hybrid on the basis of A. gigantea.
