  Scindapsus lucens distribution
From: David Scherberich <earmag at cybercable.tm.fr> on 1998.11.24 at 14:18:47(2778)
Dear aroiders,

Here is some information which might interest some of you regarding a
Scindapsus (S. lucens) described by J. Bogner & P.C. Boyce in Kew
Bulletin vol. 49(4). It is most similar to S. pictus but juvenile plants
of S. lucens have glossy, bullate, greyish to light green leaf blades.
This species was known only from cultivated material but an additional
note said it had been found in the wild in Sumatra. This species is
growing in Nancy Botanical Garden (France) and was collected in
Peninsular Malaysia: Perak, Maxwell Hill. So this adds a little bit to
the area of distribution of Scindapsus lucens.

Regards

David
