Of course, if you have trees, Pothos and most of the Monstera will go wild. But, with the vines, this is the fun of it.. Let them go. It will not hurt the tree and it looks good. I have a neighbor that chops and cusses Pothos but I think it looks good. At one time, I put a different Philo. or Monstera on each tree in the yard.
