Titan Watch 8/27/99

The sheath around the bud has begun to fall. Late yesterday evening Jennifer Trusty, a grad student working at FTG's molecular research lab, took tissue samples of the sheath for DNA studies. The first signs of developing color are faintly visible on the inside edges of the spathe. The article written for the Miami Herald was postponed again. hopefully it will be out in Saturdays paper. Miami's Channel 7 was in to film yesterday afternoon, and the Titanum was on the news all evening and this morning, but unfortunately I haven't gotten to see it. === Craig M.
