The International Aroid Society(IAS) is the International Cultivar Registration Authority (ICRA) for the Araceae, with the exception of Calla L. & Zantedeschia. Click here for a list of genera.

Before a cultivar can be registered, it must have been published in a catalog or other paper form. In order to facilitate this, the IAS will be publishing short-form cultivar descriptions in Aroideana. This is not registration of the cultivar, but does establish the name. Correctly completed submissions accepted by the IAS will be published in the annual Aroideana, a publication of the IAS.
