Anchomanes culture notes from Wilbert Hetterscheid
"Seedlings of Anchomanes go through a long stage of producing successive
leaves on the seedling, during which the underground tuber/rhizome increases.
At some point it will start to grow in "seasonal mode". The tuber/rhizome
has permanent roots and should therefore not be stored dry when dormant.
Use a well drained soil in order for the fleshy roots not to rot."
