Hand Pollination of Amorphophallus paeoniifolius

 This close-up of the female flower zone of the spadix shows the yellow pollen of another inflorescence applied to the stigmatic surfaces of the pistils. An aluminum foil collar has been fashioned around the base of the male flower zone to catch the pollen that will be dehisced the following day.
