Anthurium dwyeri Croat, Selbyana 5 (3-4): 323. 1981.

Etymology: Named in honor of Dr. John D. Dwyer, botanist at St. Louis University.

Distribution: Panama and Columbia

Sectional Placement: section Porphyrochitonium

Description: Planta epiphytica; petiolus 4-19 cm longus, 5-9 mm latus, triangularis; lamina oblongo-elliptica, in pagina inferiore conspicue punctata, basi acuta, 24-40 cm longa, 6-11 cm lata. Inflorescentia erecta, foliis brevior aut longior; pedunculus 6-44 cm longus, triangularis; spatha viridis, interdum purpureo tincta, basi decurrens; spadix pallide viridis, 7.5-16.5 cm longus, basi 8-13 cm diam. Baccae ex lavindulo albae, apicibus planatis, ca; 7 mm longae.
