Etymology: In reference to the matte finish to the leaf blade.

Distribution: Panama

Description: Planta terrestris; cataphyllum modice coriaceum, basi findens, apice persistens intactum; petiolus 14-57 cm longus, camplanatus ad leviter sulcatus; lamina subcoriacea, trilobata, (14-)20-44 cm longa, 24-42 cm lata lobis laterallis plerumque falcatis; inflorescentia plerumque erecta; peduncules teres, 17-38 cm longus; spatha subcoriacea, viridis, lanceolata, 9.5- 12 cm longa, 1-1.5 cm lata; spadix plerumque viridis, interdum pallide luteus, 6-14 cm longus; baccae ignotae.
