ABSTRACT:

Interest in plant tissue culture has increased in the past ten years in both the scientific and practical horticultural disciplines. Plant propagation by tissue culture has been enthusiastically accepted by nurserymen and avid hobbyists as evidenced by at least five large commercial laboratories in Florida alone, and as many as 200 worldwide. This article will attempt to explain some of the science, culture techniques, misconceptions and mysteries of plant tissue culture.
