ABSTRACT:

Having been disappointed in three attempts to grow Monstera tenuis from difficult to obtain horticultural divisions, I looked forward with great anticipation to our first trip to Costa Rica, which my wife Fanny and I took in April, 1988. We had been assured that this species, among others, could be found there in abundance, in certain localities.
