By C. Sathish Kumar and T. Sabu     (Buy)

ABSTRACT:

The beetle, Haptoncurina motschulskii (Reitter) Jelinek (Coleoptera: Nitidulidae) is found to be an effective agent of cantharophily in AmorphophalIus hohenackeri (Schott) Engl. et Gehrm., an endemic of Southwest India. Detailed observations on the floral characters and the pollination mechanism are given.
