Dear Genevieve:

These paintings by Plumier were very important because they were used in some cases by Jacquin to typify his new species he collected in the Caribbean.  Quite a nice painting.  Where did you find this copy?

Tom

This is a beautiful engraving of the  french botanist Plumier . "Botanicum Americanum seu Historia Plantarum in americanis Insulis
nascentium " 1689 - 1697
It's the aroids paradise .

I dedicate for your  dear friends Tricia and Julius.
