  Amorphophallus abyssinicus
From: Elizabeth Peters grassyknollexoticplants at yahoo.com> on 2000.06.24 at 13:32:19(4902)
Dear All:

I also bought my bulb in California. On examining it
closer, it certainly fits the description of a
Gonatopus. It is still dormant, but there is not even
a hint of a depression where the bud is. It is flat
as a pancake. I have e mailed the supplier for more
information on this mix-up. Thank you so much for all
of the information that everyone sent. I am no longer
floundering around alone and ignorant!

Dear Elizabeth,

If you are not as yet a member, join the IAS ( we NEED new members!) and
join us all in floundering around and trying NOT to be ignorant! (Just
kidding!). When your tuber sprouts, let us know what sortof leaf it
produces and we will try to I.D. it for you.

Cheers,

Julius

Hey everyone!I have a somewhat small A. abyssinicus (bulb slightly smaller than a golf ball) that recently went dormant. How should i store the tuber from this thing? Should i store it dry or keep it in a moist pot? I have no idea what to do, any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated. This is one plant i really dont want to lose.
Thanks in advance,
-Danny Wilson
