  Variegated Elephants Ears
From: "Peter Anderson" peteranderson at austarnet.com.au> on 2001.12.31 at 22:35:22(8006)
Hi All,
I?ve noticed of late that the Variegated Elephants Ears have thrown a
few consecutive new leaves that are either all white, or nearly so.
These leaves don?t seem to be the best for the plant in the long term as
they seem to rot, and die off, earlier than the older more even coloured
leaves. Are these leaves being induced by a mineral deficiency or
toxicity, varying PH levels, or a fertilizer imbalance? Climatic
perhaps? Also noticed a similar thing with the yellow form of the Monstera
deliciosa variegata. Anyone with ideas? Or sites with technical info,
whatever, on ?Variegated? plants? Cheers, Peter
