  FTG's Titan aroids
From: "Alan Galloway" alan_galloway at bellsouth.net> on 2003.04.27 at 18:29:59(10124)
Folks,
I had the opportunity to see the Titan babies (Am. gigas and Am.
titanum) that are so magnificently grown by Craig Allen and crew
at Fairchild Tropical Garden this past Saturday. FTG's web cam,
http://www.ftg.org/blooms/At_netcam2003.html is a great way to
see them if you can't make it to Miami, but the webcam doesn't
do the immense size of these titan phalloids justice. Hence if you
can make it to Miami to see them in person, you'll be most impressed.

The 3 Am. gigas were in full glory this past weekend and the Am.
titanums will be soon.

Alan

very nice! I made it my wallpaper. If I'd thought about it, I would have
realized they couldn't have supplemental light.
Thanks,
