Dear Eduardo and Friends,

Eduardo, I was hoping that you would send your opinion on this plant!
As you may have read on the article in a recent Aroideana on Philodendron
xanadu, we discussed the many thousands of commercially produced (by tissue
culture) plants of what is being called P. bipinnatifidium (commercially it
is actually sold as P. selloum). The spathes on these plants are in fact
quite different to the pictured plant, those here are larger and externally
colored all-green! The plants also have pronounced intravaginal
squamules, so perhaps there is need for some clarification on exactly what
species in now being propagated here in Florida as P. bipinnatifidium!

Drop me a line!

Julius
