Title: RE: [Aroid-l] Anthurium largest
leaves

The question is an interesting one - unfortunately, the underside
midrib for both species is described using the exact same wording in
Croat's descriptions: "convexly raised below becoming more acute
at apex." However, the petiole of A. spectabile is distinctly
quadrangular in cross-section, whereas A. pseudospectabile's petioles
are not, being more subterete to terete, perhaps even somewhat bluntly
four-sided, but definitely more rounded. The leaf blades are also more
undulated in the latter species, and more narrow proportionally as
well. Hope this helps.
