longwood gardens

From: Piabinha at aol.com on 2001.09.07 at 01:42:12(7394) hi all, i was recently at longwood gardens, which is always a delight to visit. in the conservatory, there's one or two rooms with lots of aroids, bromeliads and other shady tropical plants. particularly impressive were Anth. superbiens, pendulifolium (huge!) and a large warocqueanum. and Amorphophallus titanum that was over 6 ft tall. has longwood ever bloomed theirs? also, several large interesting Philodendron species. i'm wondering what other public gardens have nice aroid collections that you would recommend visiting. +More tsuh yang chen, nyc, USA http://groups.yahoo.com/group/orchidspecies
