Alocasia

Alocasia is a genus of about 90 accepted rhizomatous perennial flowering plants in the Araceae family, native to tropical and subtropical regions of Asia and eastern Australia. These broad-leaved plants are prized for their large, heart- or arrow-shaped foliage and are widely cultivated as ornamentals, with numerous hybrids selected for unique leaf patterns.
