  [Aroid-l] Visiting Florida
From: Russ <bluesea14808 at yahoo.com> on 2018.08.23 at 03:39:54
Bob Smoley offers a massive number of sansevierias. He passed away some years ago and his wife has continued with the nursery.

I hear Ree Gardens in Miami area is having their big fall sale, I think this weekend. They might have a few uncommon aglaonemas, which I collect.

If anyone here has a collection of aglaonemas, please contact me. Particularly interested in the natural hybrids Dr Frank Brown brought back from jungles of Luzon Philippines in the early 1980s.

I haven't been there but if I was heading that way I would have to hit, Bob
Smoley's Gardenworld    I believe it was  Isaac farms I went to last year
right after hurricane Irma had blasted thru. I was down there hauling
generators for ATT.  They are mostly cactus and succulents  There are
dozens of nurseries all over that area I could have spend days wondering
around but only had a couple hours.  I would also have to hit Out of Africa
plants in Naples I haven't been there either, but I would love to see it.

I'm looking for any other recommendations of places to find plants -
unusual, not run-of-the mill - Philodendrons, aroids, others, for my
upcoming trip to Florida? (This is a buying trip, not a viewing trip.)

Best, Jude

Thanks Steve!
I have been to Bob's - he unfortunately died - I actually had the fortune
to meet him a few days before he died, actually. His wife will be away in
September, so unfortunately that won't work for this trip.
Somebody did suggest Isaac Farms on another forum, and I will be going
there, as I am looking for succulent places as well.
Out of Africa is awesome, but they do not accept visitors. If you think of
some more in the area please feel free to email me.
Best, Jude
