  Germinating Amorph seeds?
From: Cyndikrall at aol.com (Cyndikrall at aol.com) on 2008.01.13 at 00:38:25(16948)
Hi all,

I recently got a couple seeds of Amorphophallus Paeoniifolius. Can anyone
recommend the best way to germinate them? I've seen a couple of
recommendations. I'm leaning towards placing them in a baggie with some moist long fibered
sphagnum. Is this best?

Many thanks,
Cyndi/NorCal Sunset9

These seeds are really easy to germinate.? If the seeds are still in the berry, you will need to gently squeeze them out of the berry and rinse them off.? If they've already been removed from the berry, you simply need to plant them in a good quality potting mix about 1/2" deep and keep them just moist.? They will germinate, depending on soil temperature and how fresh the seeds are, in 2-8 weeks or so.
