From: botanist at malesiana.com (Peter Boyce) on 2008.07.17 at 06:10:39(18186) Hi Marek, It's the usual problem with many of the early names that were published for a cultivated plant; the plant then in cultivation was selected for some outstanding horticultural attribute (in the sae of H. rubra the leaves & spathes were red) but in the wild the species ranges from poure green through to pure red, even in the same population.
