Arisaema candidissimum WW Smith

For connoiseurs, Arisaema candidissimum is THE classic arisaema to grow. Not quite as hardy as some, it rewards careful growers with wonderful white infloresences, usually tinged with pink on the inside of the spathe. The tripartite leaf gets quite large (up to 24" across), and looks quite tropical. For best luck in areas with deep frosts, plant deeply (at least 12"), or pop it in the refrigerator for the winter (keep it with the potatoes).
