Ph. acutatum is the most common species here and grows in various environments, from dryer areas to the moist riparian forest. Both P. rudgeanum and Ph. blanchetianum grow only in the riparian forest and close to water edge, climbing the trees.
Anthurium longipes grows both in the riparian forest but also in dryer areas of scrub forest.

Overall minimum temps are 19 C in the rainy season (March-September) and maximum temps in the dryer season are around 30 C.
