Yes, I did get the seed from Chilterns. Do you have a small bulb to sell or trade?

Perhaps we got our seed from the same source - I got mine from Chiltern Seeds I believe. Anyway, they did fine for me, though some have since declined or perished. The did seem to do better in the greenhouse in the winter, when it does not get too hot. Summers where I live can be really warm. I always repot after they've died down to put them in fresh mix - with lots of perlite. Allan

When I transplanted them later they all promptly died!

I am looking for information on the proper way to germinate Amorphophallus Kiusianus seeds. These seeds were freshly harvested recently and A friend of mine whose computer is not working asked me to pose this question.Does anybody have experience with this species? What would be a tried and true way to go about this?Do the seeds need to dry out before germination will take place or must they be sown right away before they dry out?Does the pulp surrounding the seeds ned to be removed before sowing?Sorry for so many questions, but I have heard and read so many different methods, that it is hard for me to advise my friend properly.John Ludwig_______________________________________________Aroid-L mailing listAroid-L@www.gizmoworks.comhttp://www.gizmoworks.com/mailman/listinfo/aroid-l |
