Hot and heavy into Anthurium species!
Some Aglaonema
Some Homalomena
and a few Philodendron

I understand the need to have theNewsletter sent via email, but I really miss receiving it in the mail.

A seed bank would be nice, but nextto impossible.  Maybe members could list what they had becomingavailable and trade that way.
I met a great friend who lives inFrance through trading seeds, and now have some different Anthuriumspecies to show from our exchanges.

Subject:[Aroid-l] Enjoy Aroid l? Please tell us where you are!

I have a proposal to make to theInternational Aroid Society board of directors in September and wouldenjoy feedback from all that subscribe to Aroid l.  Please don't thinkyou shouldn't respond just because you haven't joined theIAS.........yet.  Part of the proposal is to hopefully give you morereasons to want to join but no one is going to be calling you orflooding your inbox with mail!

Would everyone receiving these posts today hit "reply" rightnow and tell us what state or country you live in?  If youare willing, please also tell us what genera of Araceae you enjoygrowing and if you have specific suggestions as to how the IAS canserve you personally please add a brief note.

If nothing else, please let us know what part of the U.S. or world isyour home.

Thanks to all and please do consider joining your fellow aroiders onSeptember 19 and 20 at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Miami, FL! There will be lots of aroids to peruse and take home, greatpresentations, a wonderful tropical garden with a living rain forest toexplore and great food at the Saturday night dinner!  Besides, Dr.Croat does great presentations!

Good aroid growing to all of you!
