Itis not so simple with water and wetlands plants. These growing on rocky riverbanks are rheohytes, growing at swamps are helophytes, growing in pondsand lakes emerged or submerged are limnophytes, besides many of them arehydrophytes (simply: water plants) and there is also a namefor floating plants, but I forgot.

. . . actually, Marek, I think that rheophytes are plantsthat grow next to flowing water and have their roots growing out into thecurrent, or are plants that actually grow in flowing water.

Hello,

Plants growing on rocks and stones are epilithic plants(epilithes) or
rheophytes,
I don't know if there is a special term for plantsgrowing near water.
