  [Aroid-l] Interest in combined plant order
From: Don Martinson <llmen at wi.rr.com> on 2010.02.23 at 04:15:55
Interest in combined plant orderAdenium and Aroid Lovers:

I am a member of both the Fat-Plant and Aroid Lists.  For some time, an Adenium grower from Thailand has been posting to the Fat Plant list showing some amazing color developments in that genus. However, he also offers a list of fancy Algaonemas  and Anthuriums.  Most people would probably not place an order because of the high cost of a relatively few plants.

Several times in the past, I have gotten together with enough people to make a bulk order from different nurseries more reasonable.

At this point, I am only assessing how many might be interested in participating in a joint order and there is absolutely no obligation at this time.  I have the plant import permit and the nursery provides the phytosanitary permit at no charge.  I do not currently have a complete price list, but most items seem reasonable, although I’m certain some of the fancier adeniums will be pricey.  I will make an inquiry on the prices of those items not specifically not stated on the web site, the cost of air freight shipment and my own costs of reshipping to the final recipients.  I have no intention of trying to make any money on this for myself.

If you think you might be interested (again, no obligation at this point), please contact me PRIVATELY at;

It may take me a short while to get back to all of you, but I don’t anticipate this will take place until late spring or summer.  In addition, if any of you are familiar with this grower and have any particular comments, I would appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks,
