re typhonodorum seeds

Hi I had mine over winter (they sprouted last autumn) simply in a tub of water which I topped up nightly with hot water out of my bath - i don't use unecological washing products so they are just fine.

These went dormant over winter like mature typhos do and started to regrow in late may this year. Once they got to around 6 inches tall I have removed all from the tub individually - I have 14 of them

Then I potted them up and they have gone into the greenhouse to sit in the waterfall from my pond filter for the pond in there and in the top of the filter itself and they are all looking Ok nearly a week on from going in there

I hope this helps :-)

regards

Scott

Hi all,
Has anyone had any experience of sowing and growing on seeds of Typhonodorum? I have 10 very fresh seeds, already starting to germinate and I wondered just how wet they should be...  I know adult plants can grow in deep water but should the pot in which the seeds are sown be completely submerged or just standing in  water? Any suggestions appreciated.
Regards,
Geoffrey Kibby

Aroiders,

a friend in the states has a seed head of Helicodiceros and the seeds are now ripening and falling off.

Are there any specific recommendations for sowing? He asked me about this, but I have never sown Helico-seeds.

I'd be grateful for some hints and information that I could foreward to my friend.

off topic:
culturesheet.org had good information on Helicodiceros, but the site is not available anymore. Would someone know what happened to that site?
What sows up is:
Index of /
    .ftpquota

and a message: ERROR 403 - FORBIDDEN when trying to open that link.

Best regards,
Bernhard.

Standing in water should be fine.  I have a mature specimen growing in damp
ground.

John.
