Old/second-hand botanical books
|
From: "Greg Ruckert" <greg at ezi-learn.com.au> on 1998.12.13 at 01:44:52(2812)
Can anyone suggest a good source for old/out of print/second-hand botanical
books?
Email me direct rather than to the list please (Unless any one else is
interested of course).
Merry Christmas to all aroid nuts.

Greg,
This guy in California is very good. He specializes in books botanical. The
dealer is:
Brooks Books
PO Box 21473
Concord CA 94521
Phone: 510 672-4566
Owned by Phil & Martha Nesty
They publish a catalog a couple tomes a year, and they will do searches.
I have purchased from them a couple of times and have not been disappointed.
He handles credit card transactions so I imagine he will ship overseas.

Hello Greg
If you know the names of the books you want you may try
Bibliofind,books,Booksearch, Antiquarian
Book...
I have found a few art books through them and the prices were VERY good.

Hello, Greg...
I've had success buying from these two sources:
http://www.abebooks.com/ http://www.bibliofind.com/

Both of them house many bookstores and you can run key word searches.
I like abebooks the best and have bought many books through them.
Good luck,
Manny Lorenzo

excellent condition from the second hand book shop listed below. They
specialize in horticulture and botany books and are very nice people to
deal with:

Phone # 609-466-0522
Email: woodburn@prodigy.net
The best of this Christmas season to you and everyone on our list,
Doug
