  Tahiti and environs
From: Don Martinson llmen at execpc.com> on 1999.11.30 at 21:37:22(3886)
I may have the opportunity to travel to Tahiti (actually Moorea) in
January. Does anyone know of any botanical gardens there or any particular
aroids (I'm sure there are many of the more common types) that grow in
these islands. Apparently, most of the flora is derived from SE Asia.

Thanks,

Don

Dear Don,
ask around for Cyrtosperma merkussi, it may be around that neck of the
woods!

Dear Don;
Did a web search for 'Botanical Gardens' for another project
and found a site on tropical gardens which included gardens
throughout Jave, Singapore and other sites- Tahiti too I think, but
didn't keep a URl. Give it a try - it's out there.
