  T-shirt stains

O. K., this works sometimes, but not always: Visit your local supermarket's
laundry supply aisle. Look for a rack of small plastic bottles called
"Stain Devils". There is a different formula for just about every kind of
stain. Select the one for red wine stains and try that one on your
T-shirts. You may save some of them. I agree with the view point that the
sap from the abyssinian red banana(of course, it's not an aroid) has the
most notorious stain-making capability.

Heliconias stain real bad ! Same family as bananas. Twice a week we pick
and trim hundreds of Heliconias, and you should see my t-shirts and shorts
!Lots of other plants stain as well, some Cycads [Zamia furfuraceae ]

One solution no one has suggested, don't wear any clothes when working with
plants !!

Friends,

I work CLOSE to my plants, and Lasia and Cyrtosparmas have terrible spines
and thorns, and Dieffenbachia, Colocasias, etc. ITCH like hell, so though I
have been known to be a 'nature nut' at times, in my opinion Aroids and
nudity do NOT a good combination make! One MIGHT have to request the
Doctor at the ER to please take away the pain, but try to leave the
swelling.

Cheers,

Julius

OK just make a trayful of aroid or banana leaf juice and dye all your
workclothes an even color.
Might even be a market for natural, organic "Aroid-brown".
