About Aroid-L

Seeing your own posts to Aroid-L

I apologize for not responding to this earlier ... someone (maybe Les?)
asked in the last couple of days how to change ones list options for
Aroid-L so as to get a copy back of ones own posts.

There are several commands which affect how Aroid-L posts are delivered to
you; as usual, they must all be sent in e-mail to:

LISTPROC@MOBOT.ORG

rather than to the usual list address. (If you send them to the regular
Aroid-L address, they'll show up as a message to be posted, and Don or I
will discard them.)

Send them as the first and only line of text in your message. The options
are:

SET AROID-L MAIL ACK

This lets you receive copies of your own posts.

SET AROID-L MAIL NOACK

This is the default setting for new subscribers, and means you will
not see copies of your own posts.

SET AROID-L MAIL DIGEST

This causes you to get Aroid-L in "digest" form, one or at most a
couple of big giant rolled-up e-mails per day that contain all the
postings up to that time. Docs aren't real clear, but I believe using
either of the first two commands will reset you back out of digest mode.

SET AROID-L MAIL POSTPONE

You will remain a subscriber to Aroid-L (meaning you can still post to
the list) but you won't receive any postings until you use one of the
first three options to reset your status.

Hope this helps,

Steve

Steve,

Perhaps do you think we should post some of these instructions for the
listserver on the aroid website?
