If it was an inexpensive plant and grows well at sea level then it was
most likely Anthurium watermaliense. If it was expensive and had purple
black flowers, and does not grow well then it may be the Andreanum type
from High in the Andes Mountains. It is notorious for not liking to grow
in captivity. A. watermaliense on the other hand is in the Pachyneurium
Section of the Anthurium Genus and interbreed with other bird nest types
as well as others to produce some strange looking hybrids.
