Mmmm konjac candy!
Tastes great!
I think the fervor over this item is just the "latest". Do you remember a

few years ago, when hot dogs were considered lethal for children?
The candy has a small cup of gelatin with a piece of "something" in the
center that is approx 1 cm square. I'm not sure where the konjac comes in,
the ingredients also list coconut or konjac-coconut.

If only its texture was not that of an eyeball, it would be really great :-)

The overprotective parents-turned-activists/lobbyists have to have something to do!

Konjac-coconut as a single ingredient? Perhaps a reference to "cocoyam"? (Yes, I know that is a wholly different plant.)

These candies can be bought from Wal-Mart and Sam's stores (at least in
Oklahoma). Sold as New Choice Assorted Flavors Mini Fruity Gels (Sabores
Surtidos). QUESTION - has anyone tried shooting these with a syringe of
vodka, rum, or some other alcoholic concoction? Wonder how the konjac would
react?!?!?! :)

I might think the konjac would jump with joy.
