  PhilodendrON DNA
From: "zonneveld" zonneveld at rulbim.leidenuniv.nl> on 2001.12.21 at 14:31:24(7970)
Usual an amount of DNA is specfic for a species irrespective of
how they look like All humans have 7 picogram. So if two plants
have different amounts of DNA ( excluding ploidy but that is easy to
spot) they are likely different species If the amount of dNA per
nucleus is identical they are probably, but not for sure, the same
species. See my articles on Hosta and Helleborus
