Well, first off. I have updated my site with a new home page and 750 new
photos. Mostly PICS of aroids and trips to opryland hotel and St. Louis.
I think that the society should look into having a place were aroiders can
trade plants and seeds? Not really a discussion group rather just trades.
Just curious who would be interested and how many would participate?
While on the trading subject. I am looking for forms of Xanthosoma manly
larger forms. As well as Alocasia and Colocasia. two Colocasias that I am
after is a neon pink stem form and Gigantea which seems to dislike me.
Also I am interested in trading my rooted and potted philo cuttings for
other philo cuttings large leaf or small leafed. Speciousium and gigas or on
this list of ones I want.

Hi Brian,
Sounds like a great idea. One suggestion for a model: the Carnivorous plant
trading post: http://www2.labs.agilent.com/bot/cp_read They keep it short,
simple, and well organized so that you can quickly scan through the list
instead of having to dredge up and/or receive a lot of separate (and
possibly long-winded) e-mails.

Presumably (??) one could easily modify their submission page
http://www2.labs.agilent.com/bot/cp_trader into something that would work
for Aroids.

I like that format. I could put that together next week and host it if
that's what the list would like. I can host it also.

Brian,
Great idea! I already trade with about a dozen people on the net now! There
must be a way that the society could do it. We have a group in the hoya
society that I do it with now, its a great way to make new friends and get
some rare plants at the same time.
