Imminent blooming of Amorphophallus titanum at the USBotanical Garden
From: Scott Hyndman hyndman at aroid.org> on 2003.07.22 at 13:05:31(10417)

There is an Amorphophallus titanum inflorescence about to
show itself in a grand way at the US Botanical Garden,
Washington, D.C., per the article in the Washington Post at
This is a fine article by staff writer Adrian Higgins who
interviewed IAS Members Craig and Fanny Phillips, Dan
Nicolson, and me among others for background information on
the event. The US Botanical Garden has further information
at http://usbg.gov/your-visit/Titan-Day-1.cfm. I wish I
could be there...
