  rooting Philodendron cuttings
From: Lester Kallus lkallus at earthlink.net> on 1970.01.01 at 00:00:00(10626)
Can Philodendrons such as Philodendron venosum develop roots anywhere other than at their leaf nodes?

Also, does anyknow know of a resource other than Glasshouseworks for Philodendron scandens medio pictum
http://www.glasshouseworks.com/images4/phil-scandensmedio.jpg

I'd order it from them but by the time they'd ship it, the snow would be on the ground here and it would freeze on my front porch by the time I got home.

To my knowledge, all Philodendrons develop roots only in the zone
immediately below the internode, at least all the ones I have in my
collection do.
Unable to help with the plant itself, although regarding the name, Tom
Croat has restored the name P.hederaceum var. oxycardium for the common
plant previously called scandens and oxycardium. Have not seen this
particular cultivar out here in Australia yet, but if its a tissue
cultured plant, no doubt we will soon.
kind regards
Neil
