notes from Raleigh's Aroid Extravaganza

I donated some plants that were labeled as Globba sp. 'China' as giveaway plants. These plants were at the end of my driveway and attendees were welcome to take them as they were leaving the frist night of the event. Kyle Williams at Duke University who is working on Globba gingers for his Phd thesis has identified this species as Globba racemosa. So it's time to change those plant labels!!
