  How long for Arborescent Philodendrons to showwoodystems?

Here in the tropics a stem will develop in 1 year . Have had P. stenolobum,
mature and set seed in under 4 years from a small seedling plant.

thanks...guess i won't have that long to wait - it
sucks that we humans don't have potential life spans
as long as some of these plants - e.g. a Philodendron
speciosum in San Francisco has been growing in a
conservatory for more than 100 years already.
