reduce dormancy period

Is there a way to (step by step) reducing dormancy period on
Helicodiceros muscivorus and Arum Pictum?
Did ever tried someone this?
Or is better to enlarge the dormancy (eg: in a fridge min. temp around
4-6 degrees C )
