I'm off for a month in the Cordillera Central in the Medellin area. I'll be
working up around 2400 meters and looking for native aroids and other
plants. If anyone is aware of particularly nice and/or interesting species
to keep an eye out for please let me know.

i envy you! there should be some marvelous Chlorospatha in that
area. in particular, keep an eye out for Chloro. corrugata, a beautiful,
3-lobed species. there are several species of 3-lobed Chlorospatha in that
region. good luck and please let us know what you find, when you
return.

Lynn and all:

In doing a little looking around the web I
found a reference to Croat: Chlorospatha of Antioquia (Colombia). Is this article available
online?

phil---i don't know if it is on-line yet. it is in the last volume of
Aroideana, Vol. 27. of course there are many interesting Anthuriums in
that region too, at that elevation, but i doubt that you'll find many
Philodendron that high. there are probably many as yet unpublished
species there, in whatever genera you encounter.

Ya. I collected a lot of general herbarium specimens in the Guajira years
ago. Great specimens but they could be confusing due to the activities of
our little friends.
